Frequently Asked Questions
What is Assisted Living?
Our residents have their own apartments and receive assistance with activities of daily living, with care being provided by our compassionate Resident Assistants. Our residents feel safe and secure knowing that we have staff on duty around the clock to help meet their needs. Restaurant-style meals are provided three times a day and our calendar is full of fun and exciting things to do.
What is Independent Living?
Well, it’s just what it sounds like! Our duplexes offer a sense of independence while removing some of the hassle of living alone. We provide one meal a day, weekly housekeeping and outdoor maintenance, so you don’t have to!
Do You Accept Couples?
Absolutely! The more the merrier! Each resident will receive a customized care plan so that we can best meet their individual needs.
Are You Pet Friendly?
Again, absolutely! We understand that home may not feel like home without your pet. Small pets are welcome to take up residence with their owners at The Paragon. If you love pets but prefer not to manage their care, our resident pet, Penelope, will be happy to meet your needs!
How Do I Pay for Assisted Living?
Assisted Living in Kentucky is private pay. If you have Long Term Care Insurance, you may be able to file a claim to cover a portion of your expenses. If you were a war-time veteran, or married to a war time veteran, you may qualify for Aid & Attendance Benefits through Veteran’s Affairs. You can find more information on this program at: https://www.va.gov.
How do I start the process?
You’ve come to the right place! Most start the process of transitioning to senior living by scheduling a tour. You can do so by giving us a call, or by submitting a request online.
